The impact of packaging

Plastic packaging, like all types of packaging, has an impact on the environment, we at SFA Packaging are very aware of that. That's why SFA Packaging has been working for years on a structural sustainable packaging solution. For example, we work exclusively with 100% recyclable plastic and use as little material as possible when designing packaging. We continuously work on reducing our ecological footprint.

Prevention of food waste

Food waste causes enormous CO2 emissions every year. Reducing food waste is therefore - alongside wind and solar energy - one of the most important measures to reduce CO2 emissions. That is why SFA Packaging designs and produces food-safe, thin and light packaging in which products have a long shelf life. In this way, we not only use much less plastic but also prevent food waste.

Sustainability together

Among other things, SFA Packaging collaborates with Wageningen University & Research/Food & Biobased Research (WUR), Dutch Knowledge Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV) and Biopolymer Application Centre (BAC) for the development of bio-based injection-moulded packaging.
