For the brand Sugo D’Uva , the Italian producer opted for a lightweight injection-moulded cup with barrier label as an alternative to the existing thermoformed packaging. The EVOH barrier covers the sides and base of the cup and reduces oxygen permeability. At the same time, the full-colour IML gives the packaging a neat appearance and greater visibility on the shelf.
“Through SFA Italia Srl, we can provide direct support to local customers and work closely with them to develop packaging that suits their product, production process and market. With Il Canarino, the collaboration led to a solution that combines visual appeal, technical performance and future-proof recyclability,” said Reinier Kalkman, Director of Sales at SFA Packaging.
