When you order something, we need your data to make sure we can deliver your order. But we always handle your personal data with care. We take care of them and keep them safe. When does this privacy policy apply?
This privacy policy applies to all personal data processed by SFA.
What is personal data?
Personal data is any data that can be traced back to you as an individual. Think of your name, phone number, address or e-mail address.
From whom do we process personal data?
We process the personal data of (potential) customers of SFA, who have had contact with us.
With whom will your data be shared?
Distribution and logistics partners
In order to process your order, we cooperate with various distribution partners. These parties receive your name and delivery address to ensure that they can process your order correctly. We also work with various logistics partners, such as PostNL to deliver samples to your chosen address.
Other external service providers
We also engage other external service providers to help with various things. Sometimes they also need personal data to do so. We only share the data necessary for the task the external service provider is performing for us. We conclude agreements with all external service providers in which we agree what they are allowed to do with the data.
The types of work our external service providers perform for us are:
- supporting the delivery of our digital services, such as the hosting, maintenance and support of our website and newsletter;
- Supporting advertising and marketing campaigns;
- Providing financial services, such as debt collection agencies and credit reference agencies.
The government
Sometimes we have to pass on personal data to the government. This may occur first of all if certain government agencies need this data to carry out their duties, such as the tax authorities. The police or judiciary may also need certain data in case of fraud or abuse. We never sell your data to third parties.
What are the 'legal grounds' for using your data?
According to privacy legislation, we have to say what 'legal grounds' we have to use your data. We need data from you because of contractual agreements between you and SFA, such as your purchase of a product or when an order is cancelled. This is the case with:
- Ordering
- Delivery
- Possible returns
In addition, we may use your data in cases of 'legitimate interest'.
This means that we want to provide all our customers with the best possible, personalised service. In doing so, we always consider your privacy. This applies to:
- Contact our office
- Visit by our account managers
- Newsletter & e-mail
- Personal advice
Where are your data stored?
We store your data in various databases. For this, we always use strict security measures.
How long do we keep your data?
We do not keep and use your data longer than necessary. Then we delete all the data we have on you. We keep certain deadlines after which we delete your data, namely:
- We delete inactive customer accounts after 7 years.
- The tax authorities require us to keep our records with your invoice, payment and order details for 7 years.
- If you have subscribed to the newsletter, we keep this consent for 5 years. Even if you decide at some point that you no longer want to receive the newsletter, we keep the withdrawal of your request. We do not keep the emails you receive from us for more than 60 days. So you need not worry that you will receive the same mail from us more often.

Would you like to access your personal data and receive a copy? Or would you like to change, delete, restrict use or adjust your e-mail preferences? No problem. Just send an e-mail to info@sfa.nl. Unsubscribing to the newsletter is easy. You can do so via the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

With questions or complaints about your data and the protection of your privacy, you can contact SFA at info@sfa.nl. Finally, you have the right to turn to the Personal Data Authority with your complaint.
Who is responsible for processing my personal data?
SFA Packaging B.V. ("SFA"), located at De Hofjes 14, 3241 ML, Middelharnis, is the data controller as described in this privacy policy.
