SFA Packaging

SFA Packaging supplies plastic injection-moulded packaging made of polypropylene (PP) that is 100% recyclable, suitable for any industry. There are also options for other materials, such as Biobased and Biodegradable (PLA), and Molded fibre. These alternatives are always available on a customised basis.

Yes, our packaging is suitable for a variety of sectors, both food and non-food. We also offer various options in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. If there is no suitable packaging in our range for your specific target group or product, we can develop customised packaging. This will then be fully tailored to your requirements.

SFA Packaging is constantly concerned with making packaging more sustainable. Our products are always made of mono-material, meaning they are made entirely of one type of material and are therefore 100% recyclable. Another example is the weight optimisation applied to packaging.

Yes, for every industry it is possible to create customised packaging that fully suits your product and target group.

The process of a custom project always starts with the signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure that all information shared remains strictly confidential. A thorough analysis of the client's needs and requirements is then carried out. In doing so, we also scrutinise the market in which the customer operates and examine the current production environment in which the new packaging is to be integrated.

Based on this extensive information, our designers will start making the first design sketches. After approval, these sketches are translated into technical drawings. These drawings are used to generate visual animations as well as to print 3D models, so that all parties involved get a clear picture of the intended end result.

We can then choose whether to build a trial mould for a small production run or directly build the final mould. This choice often depends on the desire to achieve the lightest possible packaging. In this case, we build 'steelsafe' and can produce different weights from one mould cavity, from light to heavier, until the right specifications are reached.

The minimum order quantity (MOQ, Minimum Order Quantity) depends on the product and is determined in consultation in advance.

Our standard delivery time is 4 to 6 weeks. If 'In Mould Labeling' (IML) is involved, the delivery time is 8 weeks from the first label approval. For repeat orders, the delivery time remains 4 to 6 weeks.

We offer various options for personalising packaging:

  • In Mould Labelling (IML): here, the label is incorporated directly into the packaging during the production process for a durable and high-quality appearance.
  • Customised packaging: fully customised packaging based on your specific requirements, such as shape, size, colour, and material.

Yes, an important part of a successful packaging launch is integration into existing production lines. This aspect is carefully considered as early as the first packaging selection phase. If adjustments to the production line are required that the customer cannot carry out itself, SFA Packaging offers support in this. With more than 25 years of experience and a broad network of specialised partners, we can provide the necessary technical adjustments.

SFA Packaging makes clear agreements with customers about the specific requirements regarding delivery. If the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for a product cannot be taken at once, we offer the option of temporarily storing the goods.

We help optimise the supply chain by making clear agreements that ensure perfect alignment between SFA Packaging's production processes and those of the customer. This ensures efficient deliveries, minimum inventory costs and a smooth production process.

Working with SFA Packaging offers several advantages. Our focus on innovation and close cooperation enables us to supply high-quality products with a minimal ecological footprint. Our professional team thinks proactively with you and strives for transparency, efficiency, and quality in every aspect of the process, including (after)care.

SFA Packaging sees the future of sustainable packaging in a scientific approach, focusing on Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). This analysis determines the ecological footprint of a packaging by mapping the entire life cycle, from raw material to recycling. This approach shows that mono-material plastic packaging often outperforms other materials such as glass, metal, and cardboard. As a result, we focus on optimising mono-material solutions for a more sustainable future.

SFA Packaging focuses on two main spearheads: combating food waste and minimising the ecological footprint. All innovations are aimed at realising these goals.

Food waste causes enormous CO2 emissions every year. Reducing this - alongside the use of wind and solar energy - is one of the most important measures to reduce CO2 emissions. This is why SFA Packaging designs and produces food-safe, thin and lightweight packaging that extends the shelf life of products. In this way, not only is the use of plastic reduced, but food waste is also prevented.

Samples can be requested by phone, e-mail and via the contact form on the website.

The key to successful long-term cooperation lies with all parties involved. By making clear agreements and properly aligning expectations, disappointments can be avoided. Should a problem arise unexpectedly, it is important to solve it proactively. Good mutual understanding and open communication are important for long-term cooperation.
