Further expansion of SFA Slimline: a sustainable packaging line

SFA Slimline was developed in response to the growing demand for lightweight and fully recyclable plastic packaging. The packaging is produced from polypropylene (virgin foodproof PP) and consists entirely of mono-material. This makes them 100% recyclable and suitable for applications both inside and outside the food industry.

Slimline design and significantly lighter

The packaging is characterised by a slim appearance and a smart, technically optimised design. Thanks to the efficient use of materials, the packaging is lighter while still meeting all functional and quality requirements. This contributes to a lower ecological footprint and more efficient logistics.

Choice between TE and seal packaging

The entire Slimline range is available with a break closure (TE) and with a sealing edge. The range consists of several capacity sizes, using lid sizes common in the market of 69 mm, 95 mm and 118 mm. The smallest capacity size is 90 ml and the largest is 1100 ml.

The latest Slimline: 520 ml

The Slimline range has been expanded to include a new 520ml packaging with round shape, under a lid with the market standard diameter of 95mm.

In cooperation with our client Marqt Keuken, we sought a lighter packaging solution using less plastic, without compromising on functionality. The packaging is used for soups that are filled hot. The new variant is now generally available.

"For us, it was important to use less plastic in our packaging. Together with SFA, we have developed a solution that matches this sustainability ambition to our full satisfaction," says Niek Smits, Production Manager at Udea.

Latest Slimline cup: 520ml
