Pioneering packaging for the dairy industry

Yoghurt-Packaging
SFA Packaging

Starting points

A key starting point in the development of these new packages is a lower 'footprint' in terms of material use and logistics; more specifically, this means a weight reduction of up to 35% compared to benchmarks. Another starting point is that the packaging has been developed together with our relations in such a way that the transition on existing filling lines to our new packaging is as smooth as possible. In addition, our new packaging has been tested to be able to be loaded in a similar way as the old packaging. As with the old packaging, reusing packaging materials was also very important in development. Because these packages are also made of 100% mono-material, they can be fully recycled after use.

Design

Based on the aforementioned principles, SFA Packaging has developed technically highly innovative 1,000 ml and 1,100 ml yoghurt packaging, which can be supplied with or without a handle. Due to the slimmer edge, the packaging's decoration space has been increased by IML.

Collaboration

Over the past two years, SFA Packaging has been working hard on a new range of future-proof, lightweight dairy packaging and the production capacity required for this in the Netherlands and abroad. These packages were developed in close cooperation with our customer relations and are already in use at three of our valued customers.
